Bathroom Renovation

Well...one project leads to another. While renovating their kitchen, my client called me and asked for a quick set of bathroom drawings. A site visit, a little brainstorming, and a few drawings later, they had all that they needed to get the most function out of their quirky bathroom/vanity/closet area (plus it looks cute too!)

Here are a few before and after pictures of the bathroom. If you'd like to see more, you can find them at http://www.flickr.com/photos/emilyworthington/sets/72157628725863971/

Before & After Kitchen Renovation

Who doesn't love some good before and after pics?! There's just nothing quite like seeing a total transformation captured in a few pictures. The couple I was working with had just purchased a home in Sandy Springs with a great vision and the full intention of putting a little TLC into the place. We ended up gutting the kitchen, removing a few walls to open up the first floor, putting hardwoods throughout, and renovating the bathroom on the main floor.

Here are a few before and after pictures of the kitchen. If you'd like to see more, check out my flickr album at http://www.flickr.com/photos/emilyworthington/sets/72157628725863971/

A Solid Plan of Action

A solid plan of action and a thorough evaluation of client needs are two of the most important aspects to master before construction. Here is what we feel like is the best plan for the Millers, who want an open kitchen, a large island, and adequate pantry space. The main design challenge on this job was finding a way to get a large island in this narrow kitchen. We are confident that this plan will allow for the kitchen to be used for both entertaining and daily life, and the style & materials will provide the freshness and warmth that this new home so needs.
